SAM.gov Registration and VetCert: Free Help
Registering in SAM.gov is free, and so is applying for SBA's veteran certification (VetCert). You never have to pay anyone to do either. If you get stuck, these free sources will help.
Start with free help
- SAM.gov: Register or renew your entity. Registration is free.
- Federal Service Desk: The official help desk for SAM.gov, free by phone or online.
- SBA VetCert: Apply for veteran-owned or service-disabled veteran-owned certification. There's no fee.
- Your local APEX Accelerator: Free, hands-on help with SAM registration and certification.
- Veterans Business Outreach Centers: Free counseling for veteran business owners.
When paid help makes sense
We don't list paid registration or certification services. Companies that charge for them, especially ones that look like a government website or send "final notice" renewal emails, are a known problem.
Red flags
- Charges you to register in SAM.gov or to apply for VetCert. Both are free.
- Looks like a government website, or emails you a "final notice" to renew.
- Asks for your SAM.gov login. SAM.gov's rules don't allow sharing it.
- Guarantees you'll win a contract.
These pages list free public resources. Veteran Rebids is not affiliated with any agency or program named here, and no one pays to appear on them.
